"After the worship, I walked around the village. On the opposite side of the rice paddies, children were gathered under the shade of trees, probably seeking relief from the heat.
The children were chatting with each other, and as soon as they noticed me, they struck a V pose, as if automatically posing for a camera. It seemed pure and innocent, but it also saddened me to realize that people have been taking pictures of these children, eliciting such reactions from them.
What are we truly conveying to these children?
While improving their living environment is crucial, the foremost task is to ensure that these children encounter the true Jesus Christ and grow within the gospel. I pray that they may be filled with the blessings of the kingdom of God and find hope that can only be discovered in Christ.
1 Corinthians 2:16 - For, 'Who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?' But we have the mind of Christ."
